About
Founded in 1968, UnICE3G, the Universities’ Internal Combustion Engines, Electrification and Energy Group, is an active group of researchers that looks to internally circulate research and development. Comprising of roughly 100 members in a 50-50 split between academia and industry, the group encourages collaboration between UK thermal propulsion, electrification, and energy research groups as well as organisations such as the APC and EPSRC.
UnICE3G is a scientific membership organisation, with a small subscription fee to cover meeting expenses. It is led by an elected volunteer committee:
UnICE3G Chair: Martin Davy (University of Oxford)
UnICE3G Treasurer: Antonino La Rocca (University of Nottingham)
UnICE3G Secretary: Felix Leach (University of Oxford)
Meetings
The main way that UnICE3G facilitates sharing of research and development is by organising meetings. Generally themed, these are aimed at enabling a wide-ranging and productive discussion of ideas, with a particular focus on encouraging participation from early-career researchers.
